AudioLock is a parental control music app that lets kids enjoy Apple Music while giving parents control over what songs are available. Kids can discover and request songs, but nothing plays until a parent approves it.
Yes, AudioLock requires an active Apple Music subscription to search for and play songs. The app uses your existing subscription.
Tap the lock icon and enter your parent PIN to access Parent Mode. From there, you can view and approve song requests, or add songs directly by searching Apple Music.
No. AudioLock automatically filters out explicit content from all search results. Additionally, your child can only play songs that you have explicitly approved.
Unfortunately, for security reasons, there is no way to recover a forgotten PIN. You would need to delete and reinstall the app, which will reset all settings and approved songs.
Yes! In Parent Settings, you can toggle off "Apple Music Search." When disabled, your child can only browse and play songs you've already approved.
In Parent Mode, search for the playlist or album you want to add. Tap on it to view the details, then use the add button to approve the entire collection at once.
AudioLock requires an internet connection to search and stream music from Apple Music. However, if you have songs downloaded through Apple Music, they may be available offline.
If you have a question that isn't answered above, or if you've found a bug, we'd love to hear from you.
